hey hey hey..back from Cuba. Altho' i think i'd rather be there than Canada rite now. It's so damn cold. well it's not bad considering it's only 2 degrees and not in the negatives...yet. ne ways, i had a fabulous time in Cuba. i can't wait to go back again. to me, it felt like being back in my home country(sri lanka). the difference is that cubans r lot more cleaner, friendlier and healthier. i'm not kidding. i was so surprised too,considering that they live in poverty. i'd say it's one of the most beautiful countries i've ever been to. what struck me as amazing is the fact that they are happy w/ wut they hv. they even use cars that date back frm the '50s!! ne ways, i got to meet some really nice ppl too...they were all diplomats however. all the ambassadors frm various countries. they were very nice and welcoming. let's see..the places that i visited in Cuba was old havana city. it was a beautiful place with ancient buildings and houses. ppl still live in them. sadly they rn't in the best conditions. i also got to go to Varadero. ah..the beach!! clear water and sunshine..it was awesome!! :) i even got to go to some of the market place..which was fun..but kinda creepy coz some guys kept coming after me...even when i was w/ my dad. but all in all, i had a great time and plan to make many more trips to Cuba. well, that's about it. well, tomorrow morning i'm off to Cuba!!! :D yaaaaaaaay! can't wait,can't wait. hehe..i'm really giddy rite now.
my week has been uneventful so far(won't b ne more,hehe). went to jana's like we planned. just hung out at her place. watched x-men 2. i thought it was hell of alot better than the 1st! had a really good lunch! yum yum..and watched jana's barthanatyam program. she's pretty good..quite graceful, if i may say so. then finally watched the 2nd half of lethal weapon 4.
Jana's mom gave us some news about an old friend of ours in australia..been awhile since we heard frm her..actually a long while..more like a whole year or somethin'. she finally wrote today. she's finally done her pre-uni course/exam..and get this...got 97%!!!! how amazing is that??!! she's plannin on taking econ or business admin. at uni. really happy for her! :)
so looks like all our slis gang has made it into uni..the ones that i know of ne way. so guys, give ur selves a pat on the back..we've made it this far. and good luck on the years to come! that goes for everyone!!! Happy Holidays to everyone and may the upcoming year bring you tons of joy n great experiences. :D take care..and be safe.

well, just got back from a lil dinner w/ my parents' friends. they are such lovely ppl!! :) very very sweet. the aunt actually drove us to school a couple of times,when my dad was held up at work. ne ways, we always had fun goin to school w/ her. she had some of the most amazing stories for us...unbelieveable...she and her husband hv been to so many countries..i'm inclined to think that they've been to the 'four corners' of the world. seriously. they even saw the berlin wall come down!!! they really inspire me, to go out there and explore the world. ne ways, had an interesting chat w/ them.
hmm..o yea..our parents finally got a house for my sis and myself to live in, close to our uni. so yaay! din(my sis) n i will b moving mid-january...so it's all good. :D our bro's dying for us to move out.. :(
plans for tomorrow...go see my best friend in t.o. prolly go to china town and do a lil bit of shopping. :) supposed to go see another friend perform at some church..but he never called us up..so looks like he doesn't want us there.. :( o well. i'm sick of running after ppl so i'm not even gonna bug him about it. (long story, for another day).
do i sound like a very sad person? i must..coz i think i am. very sad..pathetic. can't help but feel that bad things are happening to me all the time! whenever something good happens..i mean like really good..the worst happens afterwards. always. that's why i'm always so cautious and i'm never happy about nething. i always feel like as if something bad is bound to happen ne second n i shouldn't be too happy. Life sux sometimes. WHOOOO....i think the cold's getting to me. ok so there's my 2 cents for today..i don't think i made ne sense..but who cares,eh? catch y'all latez...

*sigh* just when u thought u'd figured things out..another problem hits u rite in the face. i'd like to know why my relatives who are living in SL think i'm filthy rich and can afford to pay their bills??WHY??it's seriously pissing me off now. is there any way outta this problem?? if we don't help them, they'll badmouth my parents to other ppl. however if we do help them, they'll keep coming back fo' more!! arrgggghhh..i wish there was an ez answer to all of this. honestly, don't they know that we have taxes in Canada?? and that only health care is free(to some extent)? "There's no such thing as a free lunch" i feel like i'm supposed to give the free lunch to everyone! :( :cry: i want to know..who's going to help ppl who don't hv any money, any food or any clothes on their backs?? who's gonna help them?? We should all be thankful to God that we have money to get food, clothes and have a decent roof over our heads. I'm sorry but I would prefer to help people who really need it..not people who just need to make themselves more comfortable. that's it from me..latez..

finally..some time to relax and give my brain a good rest. not that it deserves it!! :evil: i just came back from my last exam. my brain failed me..or maybe i failed it. lolz. 360 long questions and 3 hours. i needed more than 4 hours!! :( i didn't get the last few done..plus i had to leave out some of the fill-in blank q's..they were too damn hard!!! :cry: i'm now praying i'll just pass..don't care by how much!! :( this is the first time i'm actually leaving some q's unanswered. damnit!! i'm so mad at myself for not studying harder. shit shit shit! i just pray that i'll get a 70 in the course..this course was for my major...recreation and leisure..who woulda thought it'd be so hard??!! i was so foolish to think it was a bird course. o well, wut's done is done. i've just learnt from my horrible mistakes..and hopefully i won't repeat them next semester. or else i'm screwed..big time. moving on to better things..finally got some free time. prolly hit the mall this week..and try n meet up w/ jana...she'll b done on the 19th...so it's all good. been 2 months since i last saw her. gonna start packing too for the trip to Cuba. can't wait 2 go!!! :) well, that's about it for now..catch y'all later..

Ya Allah!! my head's still spinning. i just came back from my first exam..economics. yuck yuck yuck. it was good for the first 5 pages..but after that it was HELL! and i had 24 pages altogether!! :( my head and neck r throbbing like mad. worst of all was the fact that this exam was at nite..from 7-10pm. now i have another exam tomorrow at 2-4pm. it's the dreaded comp. science exam. damn! now how in the world am i supposed to finish 91 MCs and 91 T/Fs in 2 hours??it took me 2 hours just to finish 91 MCs for econ! well, i'm just glad atleast one exam is over. lol. while i was waiting for my sis to come out of that dreaded room, i was observing everyone coming out. hilarious. some came out staggering from side to side. others just came out with their faces looking like 'where am i?'. lol. i just came out looking dazed and confused. o dear...i just hope all my studying paid off..or else, i'm doooooomed!! :( :cry: *sniff*
well, i'm gonna get some sleep b4 i hv to wake up again to study for comp.science..brite n early! :x hope everyone else is doin better than i am!! :) adios!! (i think i've put the wrong timezone in my profile..hmmm..)

*sigh* just when i thought everything was goin ok...gets even worse than it was before. i finally managed to patch things up w/ my parents but now my uncle and aunt are creating havoc for us all. how can u help someone who's been stealing from u? i don't know whether to feel sorry or to hate them. i want to hate them for wut they did to my grandmother but i can't forget that they are my family too. Ya Allah! i'm goin crazy...
apart from that, nothing else is new. did a bit of studying and a lot of thinking. gave me a headache. :cry: no school today, so yaaay! get to hv some down-time for once. i'm gonna need it coz from tomorrow, it's just study study study. i doubt i'll hv time to even get a wink of sleep. hopefully that doesn't happen coz i love my sleep!
btw, how do u refer a friend to tblog to earn that 25 blogs? n e hoo..that's all i gotta say rite now. tune in for more tomorrow.
